Breastfeeding is special. It is a time you and your baby share something unique only the two of you are part of. And most times it starts with major challenges to overcome, physical pain, sleepless nights, and lots of crying. And once you have mastered all the challenges, what stays is to enjoy those special moments with your baby. And the superior feeling of nourishing your child with your own body.
Capturing Memories
I am quite sure every one of you has taken some sort of picture of yourself breastfeeding your child. Maybe you will show it to your kid once it is all grown up, or maybe you will show it once you nurse his or her younger siblings just to assure that he or she has also been breastfed like they are now! And maybe you just want to keep it to yourself to look at and become nostalgic once you are old.
The new sort of breastfeeding selfie or -brelfie
Not everybody may feel comfortable with publishing and showing their own photos while breastfeeding, but there has been a motion of women posting special selfies while nursing- the so-called Tree-of-Life-belfries, to show people that breastfeeding and breastfeeding in public is normal and should be respected as what it is- feeding one`s child.
Those pictures are made with an app called PicsArt.
How to make your own Tree of Life picture- step by step
1. Download PicsArt
Find the app, download, and install it for free.
2. Take a picture of yourself nursing
Seems obvious you are going to need a picture of yourself and your baby!
3. Upload your photo
There is a “plus” for doing this
4. Choose the option “sticker”
in the search bar write “Tree of Life”
5. Choose the tree you like,
move it around, and adjust size and opacity.
6. Select “Magic” for effects like midnight or rainbow
7. Save
